The Lebanese Central Bank recently issued administrative memo no. 2272 calling for the establishment of a special committee “Banks Restructuring Committee” comprising members of BDL, the Banking Control Commission (BCC) and the Association of Banks in Lebanon (ABL). The committee will be tasked with studying suggested amendments to basic decisions number 12713 and 6939, studying the restructuring of Lebanese Banks, suggesting necessary modifications to the prudential regulations governing the operations of Lebanese Banks, and analyzing the financial performance of Lebanese banks and suggesting necessary steps for safeguarding the stability of the Lebanese banking sector. It is worth noting that the formed committee will comprise the following members:
أصدر مصرف لينان مؤخّراً المذكرة الإداريّة رقم 2272 والتي أنشأ من خلالها لجنة خاصّة "لجنة إعادة هيكلة المصارف" تضمّ أعضاء من مصرف لبنان ولجنة الرقابة على المصارف وجمعيّة المصارف في لبنان. وستتركّز مهام اللجنة بدراسة تعديلات مقترحة على القرارين الأساسيين رقم 12713 و6939 ودراسة إعادة هيكلة المصارف اللبنانيّة وإقتراح تعديلات ضروريّة على الضوابط الإحترازيّة التي تحكم عمل المصارف كما وتحليل الأداء المالي للمصارف اللبنانيّة وإقتراح خطوات تحفظ سلامة هذا القطاع. وتضم اللجنة المذكورة آنفاً الأعضاء التاليين:
