According to statistics published by the Association of Banks in Lebanon (ABL), gross public debt narrowed by 0.41% ($402.65 million) during the month of June 2021 to LBP 147,359 billion ($97.75 billion), down from LBP 147,966 billion ($98.15 billion) a month earlier. The share of Lebanese banks of LBP-denominated debt remained flat at just below 25.1% in June, while the share of the non-banking sector rose to around 13.3% (up from 12.9% in May) and that of Banque Du Liban dropped to around 61.7% (down from 62.0% in May). As far as foreign currency-denominated debt is concerned, sovereign debt in the form of Republic of Lebanon Eurobonds constituted 94.5% of total foreign currency debt, followed by lines of credit obtained through multilateral agreements (4.0%) and bilateral facilities (1.4%).
The average maturity of debt denominated in domestic currency narrowed to 4.37 years in June 2021 down from 4.43 years in May, while the weighted average annual interest rate on local currency debt remained flat at 6.58%. As far as the weighted average annual interest rate and weighted maturity of foreign currency debt are concerned, the ABL no longer publishes these statistics as a result of the government’s decision to suspend the payment of Eurobonds in March 2020.
تُبيِّن إحصاءات جمعيّة المصارف في لبنان تراجعاً في الدين العامّ اللبناني بنسبة 0.41% (402.65 مليون د.أ.) خلال الشهر السادس من العام 2021 إلى 147،359 مليار ل.ل. (97.75 مليار د.أ.)، من 147،966 مليار ل.ل. (98.15 مليار د.أ.) في الشهر الذي سبقه. وقد بقيت حصّة القطاع المصرفي اللبناني من إجمالي الدين المعنوَن بالليرة اللبنانيّة ثابتة عند حوالي 25.1% في شهر حزيران، فيما إرتفعت حصّة القطاع غير المصرفي إلى حوالي 13.3% (مقارنةً ب12.9% في شهر أيّار) وإنخفضت حصّة مصرف لبنان إلى حوالي 61.7% (من 62.0% في شهر أيّار). أمّا لجهة توزيع الدين العامّ المعنون بالعملات الأجنبيّة، فقد تمركزت الغالبيّة الساحقة منه في خانة سندات خزينة الحكومة اللبنانيّة بالعملات الأجنبيّة (يوروبوند) (94.5%)، تلتها الإتّفاقيّات المتعدّدة الأطراف (4.0%) والتسهيلات الممنوحة بواسطة الإتّفاقيّات الثنائيّة (1.4%).
في سياقٍ متّصل، إنخفض متوسِّط إستحقاق سندات دين الحكومة اللبنانيّة المعنوَنة بالليرة اللبنانيّة إلى 4.37 سنة في شهر حزيران 2021 من 4.43 سنة في شهر أيّار، فيما بقي المعدَّل الوسطي للفائدة السنويّة على الديون بالعملة الوطنيّة ثابتاً عند 6.58%. أمّا فيما يتعلّق بمتوسِّط إستحقاق سندات دين الحكومة اللبنانيّة المعنوَنة بالعملة الأجنبيّة وتاريخ الإستحقاق فإنّ هذه الإحصاءات لم تعد تنشر من قبل جمعيّة المصارف منذ إعلان الدولة في شهر آذار الماضي عن توقّفها عن سداد إستحقاقات اليوروبوندز.
