Activity on the Beirut Stock Exchange (BSE) rebounded this week following Lebanese banks’ closure that lasted for an entire week due to security issues. In details, the number of shares changing hands soared to 4,075,248 shares from 77,623 shares in the week before and value traded concurrently increased to $9.36 million compared to $4.23 million a week earlier. Trades were mainly concentrated in banking sector stocks, which accounted for 96.75% of weekly traded volume.
The average daily traded volume rose to 815,050 shares this week, from 15,525 shares in the week before and the average daily traded value increased to $1.87 million, from around $0.85 million a week earlier.
Five losing and one gaining stock were screened this week, dragging the BSE’s market capitalization down by 7.41% week-on-week to around $12.81 billion and the Credit Libanais Aggregate Stock Index (“CLASI”) by 7.96% to 1,338.09.
In the real estate sector, trades mainly consisted of Solidere “A” and “B” shares (3.18% of weekly traded volume), with the price of Solidere “A” dropping by 10.04% week-on-week to $51.05 and that of Solidere “B” decreasing by 8.96% to $51.80. Similarly, the price of Holcim Liban shares ended the week down by 7.45% at $28.22. Consequently, the Credit Libanais Construction Sector Stock Index (“CLCI”) closed Friday’s session 9.42% lower on a weekly basis at 2,605.93.
In the banking sector, Byblos Bank listed shares amassed the highest concentration of trades (96.61% of total BSE traded volume) with a turnover ratio of 0.696%. The Credit Libanais Financial Sector Stock Index (“CLFI”) closed Friday’s session 2.81% lower w-o-w at 521.67 amid the 7.81% weekly contraction in the price of Byblos Bank listed shares to $0.59, the 6.00% drop in the price of Bank Audi listed shares to $1.41 outweighing the 0.68% appreciation in the price of Bank Audi GDRs to $1.49.
The market-cap weighted average price to book value (P/BV) multiple of listed stocks ended its week lower at 3.761 based on the closing prices of Friday’s session compared to 4.204 in the previous week.
تحسّنت حركة التداول على بورصة بيروت هذا الأسبوع على إثر إقفال المصارف لمدّة أسبوع كامل بعد أعمال الشغب التي تعرّضت لها. بالتفاصيل، فقد إرتفع عدد الأسهُم المتداوَلة إلى 4،075،248 سهم، مقابل 77،623 سهم في الأسبوع الفائت قابله زيادة في القيمة التداوليّة للأسهم إلى 9.36 مليون د.أ.، مقارنةً ب4.23 مليون د.أ. في الأسبوع المنصرم. وقد سَيطَرَت أسهُم القطاع المصرفي على 96.75% من مجموع عدد الأسهم المتداولة.
وقد زاد المتوسِّط اليومي لعدد الأسهُم المتداوَلة إلى 815،050 سهم في هذا الأسبوع، من 15،525 سهم في الأسبوع الذي سبقه كما وإرتفع متوسّط القيمة التداوليّة اليوميّة للأسهم إلى 1.87 مليون د.أ.، مقارنةً بحوالي 0.85 مليون د.أ. في الأسبوع الذي سبقه.
في سياقٍ متّصل، تراجعت الرسملة السوقيّة (Market Capitalization) لبورصة بيروت بنسبة 7.41% أسبوعيّاً إلى حوالي 12.81 مليار د.أ.، وذلك في ظلّ إنخفاض في أسعار خمسة أسهم وتحسّن في سعر سهمِ واحد. وقد أنهى مؤشِّر بنك الإعتماد اللبناني للبورصة (“CLASI”) أسبوعه على إنخفاض بنسبة 7.96% عن إقفال الأسبوع السابق ليصل إلى 1،338.09.
في القطاع العقاري، إرتكزت عمليّات التداول بأسهُم سوليدير "أ" و"ب" (3.18% من مجموع عدد الأسهُم المتداوَلة هذا الأسبوع) مع إنخفاض سعر أسهم سوليدير "أ" بنسبة 10.04% على أساس أسبوعي إلى 51.05 د.أ. وتراجع سعر أسهم سوليدير "ب" بنسبة 8.96% إلى 51.80 د.أ. وقد إنخفض سعر أسهم هولسيم لبنان بنسبة 7.45% هذا الأسبوع إلى 28.22 د.أ. في هذا الإطار، أنهى مؤشِّر بنك الإعتماد اللبناني لأداء القطاع العقاري في البورصة (“CLCI”) أسبوعه على تراجع بنسبة 9.42% ليصل إلى 2،605.93.
أمّا في القطاع المصرفي، فقد إستحوذت الأسهم العاديّة التابعة لبنك بيبلوس على حصّة الأسد (96.61%) من مجموع عدد الأسهُم المتداوَلة خلال الأسبوع. من جهته، أنهى مؤشِّر بنك الإعتماد اللبناني لأداء القطاع المالي في البورصة (“CLFI”) أسبوعه على إنخفاض بنسبة 2.81% على صعيدٍ أسبوعيٍّ إلى 521.67 في ظل إنكماش سعر الأسهم العاديّة التابعة لبنك بيبلوس بنسبة 7.81% إلى 0.59 د.أ. وتدنّي سعر الأسهم العاديّة التابعة لبنك عودة بنسبة 6.00% إلى 1.41 د.أ.، ما طغى على إرتفاع سعر شهادات الإيداع التابعة لبنك عودة بنسبة 0.68% إلى 1.49 د.أ.
من جهّته، أنهى المتوسّط المثقَّل للسعر على القيمة الدفتريّة (P/BV) للأسهُم المدرَجة على بورصة بيروت أسبوعه على تراجع ليصل إلى 3.761 بحسب أسعار إقفال نهار الجمعة.
