Activity on the Beirut Stock Exchange (BSE) improved markedly this week with the number of shares changing hands rising to 2,702,811 shares from 134,791 shares in the week before and value traded increasing to $16.28 million compared to $4.51 million a week earlier. Trades were mainly concentrated in banking sector stocks, which accounted for 85.81% of weekly traded volume.
The average daily traded volume rose to 414,562 shares this week, from 26,958 shares in the week before with the average daily traded value also increasing to $3.26 million, from around $0.90 million a week earlier.
Six gaining and two losing stocks were screened this week, lifting the BSE’s market capitalization up by 2.40% week-on-week to around $13.34 billion and the Credit Libanais Aggregate Stock Index (“CLASI”) higher by 2.59% to 1,398.32.
In the real estate sector, trades mainly consisted of Solidere “A” and “B” shares (13.64% of weekly traded volume), with the price of Solidere “A” increasing by 2.59% week-on-week to $53.55 and that of Solidere “B” rising by 3.23% to $54.35. Similarly, the prices of Holcim Liban and Ciments Blancs Nominal shares ended the week up by 9.98% and 5.88% at $32.84 and $9.00 respectively. Consequently, the Credit Libanais Construction Sector Stock Index (“CLCI”) closed Friday’s session 3.31% higher on a weekly basis at 2,752.11.
In the banking sector, Byblos Bank listed shares amassed the highest concentration of trades (82.93% of total BSE traded volume) with a turnover ratio of 0.304%. The Credit Libanais Financial Sector Stock Index (“CLFI”) closed Friday’s session 0.17% higher w-o-w at 526.12 amid the 10.00% weekly appreciation in the price of BLOM Bank GDRs to $2.75 and the 1.75% increase in the price of Byblos Bank listed shares to $0.58, altogether outweighing the 6.04% contraction in the price of Bank Audi GDRs to $1.40 and the 1.32% drop in the price of BLOM Bank listed shares to $3.00.
The market-cap weighted average price to book value (P/BV) multiple of listed stocks ended its week higher at 3.994 based on the closing prices of Friday’s session compared to 3.851 in the previous week.
تحسّنت حركة التداول على بورصة بيروت بشكلٍ بارز هذا الأسبوع مع إرتفاع عدد الأسهُم المتداوَلة إلى 2،072،811 سهم، مقابل 134،791 سهم في الأسبوع الفائت وزيادة القيمة التداوليّة للأسهم إلى 16.28 مليون د.أ.، مقارنةً ب4.51 مليون د.أ. في الأسبوع المنصرم. وقد سَيطَرَت أسهُم القطاع المصرفي على 85.81% من مجموع عدد الأسهم المتداولة.
وقد إرتفع المتوسِّط اليومي لعدد الأسهُم المتداوَلة إلى 414،562 سهم في هذا الأسبوع، من 26،958 سهم في الأسبوع الذي سبقه كما وزاد متوسّط القيمة التداوليّة اليوميّة للأسهم إلى 3.26 مليون د.أ.، مقارنةً بحوالي 0.90 مليون د.أ. في الأسبوع الذي سبقه.
في سياقٍ متّصل، إرتفعت الرسملة السوقيّة (Market Capitalization) لبورصة بيروت بنسبة 2.40% أسبوعيّاً إلى حوالي 13.34 مليار د.أ.، وذلك في ظلّ تحسّن في أسعار ستّة أسهم وتراجع في سعر سهمين آخرين. وقد أنهى مؤشِّر بنك الإعتماد اللبناني للبورصة (“CLASI”) أسبوعه على إرتفاع بنسبة 2.59% عن إقفال الأسبوع السابق ليصل إلى 1،398.32.
في القطاع العقاري، إرتكزت عمليّات التداول بأسهُم سوليدير "أ" و"ب" (13.64% من مجموع عدد الأسهُم المتداوَلة هذا الأسبوع) مع إرتفاع سعر أسهم سوليدير "أ" بنسبة 2.59% على أساس أسبوعي إلى 53.55 د.أ. وزيادة سعر أسهم سوليدير "ب" بنسبة 3.23% إلى 54.35 د.أ. وقد إرتفع سعر كلٍّ من أسهم هولسيم لبنان وأسهم شركة الإسمنت الأبيض الإسميّة بنسبة 9.98% و5.88% هذا الأسبوع إلى 32.84 د.أ. و9.00 د.أ. بالتتالي. في هذا الإطار، أنهى مؤشِّر بنك الإعتماد اللبناني لأداء القطاع العقاري في البورصة (“CLCI”) أسبوعه على إرتفاع بنسبة 3.31% ليصل إلى 2،752.11.
أمّا في القطاع المصرفي، فقد إستحوذت الأسهم العاديّة التابعة لبنك بيبلوس على حصّة الأسد (82.93%) من مجموع عدد الأسهُم المتداوَلة خلال الأسبوع. من جهته، أنهى مؤشِّر بنك الإعتماد اللبناني لأداء القطاع المالي في البورصة (“CLFI”) أسبوعه على إرتفاع بنسبة 0.17% على صعيدٍ أسبوعيٍّ إلى 526.12 في ظل زيادة سعر شهادات الإيداع التابعة لبنك لبنان والمهجر بنسبة 10.00% إلى 2.75د.أ. وإرتفاع سعر الأسهم العاديّة التابعة لبنك بيبلوس بنسبة 1.75% إلى 0.58 د.أ.، ما طغى على إنخفاض سعر شهادات الإيداع التابعة لبنك عودة بنسبة 6.04% إلى 1.40 د.أ. وتدنّي سعر الأسهم العاديّة التابعة لبنك لبنان والمهجر بنسبة 1.32% إلى 3.00 د.أ.
من جهّته، أنهى المتوسّط المثقَّل للسعر على القيمة الدفتريّة (P/BV) للأسهُم المدرَجة على بورصة بيروت أسبوعه على إرتفاع ليصل إلى 3.994 بحسب أسعار إقفال نهار الجمعة.
