The number of passengers travelling via the Beirut International Airport (BIA) rose by 23.26% y-o-y in the first half of 2023 to 3,166,656, up from 2,569,163 passengers in the same period last year. More specifically, the number of arriving travelers rose by 25.06% y-o-y to 1,631,446 and the number of departing travelers increased by 22.27% to 1,529,533 while the number of transit travelers fell by 58.40% to 5,677. Concurrently, the number of flights saw a sharp annual rebound of 18.88% over the concerned period to 26,785. It is worth highlighting in this context that the share of Middle East Airlines (MEA) rose from 35.81% of the total number of flights during the first half of 2022 to 43.88% in the same period this year. زاد عدد المسافرين عبر مطار بيروت بنسبة 23.26% على صعيدٍ سنويٍّ خلال النصف الأوّل من العام 2023 إلى 3،166،656 مسافر مقارنةً مع 2،569،163 مسافر خلال الفترة نفسها من العام 2022. في التفاصيل، إرتفع عدد الوافدين إلى لبنان بنسبة 25.06% على أساسٍ سنويٍّ إلى 1،631،446 مسافر، تزامناً مع زيادة عدد المغادرين بنسبة 22.27% إلى 1،529،533 مسافر. من ناحية أخرى، تراجع عدد العابرين (ترانزيت) عبر مطار بيروت الدولي بنسبة 58.40% على أساس سنويّ إلى 5،677 مسافر، فيما زاد عدد الرحلات الجويّة بنسبة 18.88% إلى 26،785. يجدر الذكر أنّ حصّة طيران الشرق الأوسط من إجمالي عدد الرحلات قد زادت من 35.81% خلال النصف الأوّل من العام 2022 إلى 43.88% خلال الفترة ذاتها من العام 2023، كما هو مبيّن أدناه:
