The number of passengers travelling via the Beirut International Airport (BIA) rose by 19.66% y-o-y in the first nine months of 2023 to 5,781,553, up from 4,831,730 passengers in the same period last year. More specifically, the number of arriving travelers rose by 20.90% y-o-y to 2,855,689 and the number of departing travelers increased by 19.19% to 2,917,635 while the number of transit travelers fell by 62.01% to 8,229. Concurrently, the number of flights saw an annual rebound of 15.93% over the concerned period to 45,896. It is worth highlighting in this context that the share of Middle East Airlines (MEA) rose from 37.38% of the total number of flights during the first nine months of 2022 to 41.82% in the same period this year. زاد عدد المسافرين عبر مطار بيروت بنسبة 19.66% على صعيدٍ سنويٍّ خلال الأشهر التسعة الأولى من العام 2023 إلى 5،781،553 مسافر مقارنةً مع 4،831،730 مسافر خلال الفترة نفسها من العام 2022. في التفاصيل، إرتفع عدد الوافدين إلى لبنان بنسبة 20.90% على أساسٍ سنويٍّ إلى 2،855،689 مسافر، تزامناً مع زيادة عدد المغادرين بنسبة 19.19% إلى 2،917،635 مسافر. من ناحية أخرى، تراجع عدد العابرين (ترانزيت) عبر مطار بيروت الدولي بنسبة 62.01% على أساس سنويّ إلى 8،229 مسافر، فيما زاد عدد الرحلات الجويّة بنسبة 15.93% إلى 45،896. يجدر الذكر أنّ حصّة طيران الشرق الأوسط من إجمالي عدد الرحلات قد زادت من 37.38% خلال الأشهر التسعة الأولى من العام 2022 إلى 41.82% خلال الفترة ذاتها من العام 2023، كما هو مبيّن أدناه:
