According to figures released by the Lebanese Ministry of Tourism, the number of tourists arriving to Lebanon fell to 58,910 during the month of November 2023, down from 102,690 arrivals in October and 175,418 in September. The monthly decrease in the number of tourists arriving to the country may be attributed to the ramifications of the Gaza war. On a cumulative basis, however, Lebanon’s tourism season was more vibrant and promising during the first eleven months of 2023 when compared to the same period in 2022. More specifically, the number of tourists arriving to the country increased by 17.11% y-o-y to 1,566,368 YTD November 2023, compared to 1,337,515 tourists during the same period in 2022. European visitors topped the list of tourists arriving to Lebanon, accounting alone for 41.02% (642,562 visitors) of total tourist arrivals, followed by Arab (399,773 arrivals <25.52%>), American (320,937 arrivals <20.49%>), and Asian (76,165 arrivals <4.86%>) visitors.
ستناداً إلى إحصاءات وزارة السياحة اللبنانيّة، إنخفض عدد السيّاح الوافدين إلى لبنان إلى 58،910 سائح خلال شهر تشرين الثاني 2023، مقارنةً مع 102،690 سائح في شهر تشرين الأوّل و175،418 سائح في شهر أيلول. يمكن تعليل التراجع الشهري في عدد السيّاح الوافدين إلى البلاد إلى توسّع رقعة الحرب في غزّة إلى بعض المناطق في جنوب لبنان. أمّا على صعيدٍ تراكميّ، فقد بدى الموسم السياحي في لبنان أكثر حيويّة وديناميكيّة خلال الأشهر الإحدى عشر الأولى من العام 2023 مقارنةً بأرقام الفترة نفسها من العام 2022 حيث زاد عدد السيّاح الوافدين إلى البلاد بنسبة 17.11% سنويّاً إلى 1،566،368 سائح حتّى شهر تشرين الثاني، مقابِل 1،337،515 سائح في الفترة نفسها من العام 2022. وقد تَصدَّر السيّاح الأوروبيّون لائحة القادمين إلى لبنان، مشكِّلين ما نسبته 41.02% (642،562 سائح) من مجموع الوافدين خلال الفترة المذكورة، تلاهم الوافدون العرب (399،773 سائح <25.52%>)، والزائرون من القارّة الأميركيّة (320،937 سائح <20.49%<)، والسيّاح الآسيويّون (76،165 سائح <4.86%<).
