The Mission Director of USAID in Lebanon, Mrs. Julie Southfield recently commented that 5,000 farmers in Lebanon have so far benefited from the agency’s program to support rural farmers with critical agricultural inputs (seeds, seedlings and fertilizers), especially in the light of the spike in their prices. It is worth noting that USAID has previously launched this $1.1 million initiative which aims at helping around 11,000 farmers over a period of two years in an endeavor to support the country’s food security.
