The Lebanese Minister of Economy & Trade Dr. Amer Bisat recently announced the launching of the Beirut One Conference – Regained Trust (which will be held on 18-19 November under the patronage of the Lebanese President) during a ceremony at the Economic Council that was attended by the ambassadors of Egypt, Italy and Germany and a host of economic figures. Dr. Bisat commented that the conference aims to attract investors who shunned investments in Lebanon due to the consecutive shocks that hit the country. The conference will mainly target Lebanon’s private sector, the Lebanese diaspora and international partners, namely Arab investors, who have always supported Lebanon during times of hardship. Finally, Dr. Bisat unveiled that the conference will showcase investment projects involving Public Private Partnerships (PPPs) with a Capital Investment Program exceeding $7.5 billion.
أعلن وزير الإقتصاد والتجارة اللبناني الدكتور عامر بساط مؤخّراً عن إطلاق مؤتمر "Beirut One - استعادة الثقة" (الذي سيُعقد يوميّ 18 و19 تشرين الثاني تحت رعاية رئيس الجمهوريّة اللبنانيّة) خلال حفل أقيم في المجلس الإقتصادي حضره سفراء مصر وإيطاليا وألمانيا ومجموعة من الشخصيّات الإقتصاديّة. وعلّق الدكتور بساط بأن المؤتمر يهدف إلى جذب عشرات المستثمرين الذين أحجموا عن الإستثمار في لبنان بسبب الصدمات المتتالية التي ضربت البلاد. وفي التفاصيل، سيستهدف المؤتمر بشكل رئيسي القطاع الخاص اللبناني والمغتربين اللبنانين والشركاء الدوليين، وخاصّة العرب، الذين لطالما دعموا لبنان في أوقات المِحَن. أخيراً كشف الدكتور بساط بأنّ المؤتمر سيعرض مشاريع إستثماريّة تتضمن شراكات بين القطاعين العام والخاص (PPPs) تحت مظلّة برنامج إستثمار رأسمالي يتجاوز ال7.5 مليار د.أ.
