Real estate activity improved during the month of December 2025, with the number of transactions increasing by 10.69% to 6,526 and the value rising by 25.21% to LBP 56.30 trillion. Consequently, the average value per transaction increased by 13.12% month-on-month to LBP 8.63 billion ($96.39K at the LBP 89,500 per USD exchange rate), from LBP 7.63 billion ($85.21K) a month earlier. It is worth noting that the bulk of the work of real estate registries nowadays, and especially for those that remained most on strike (Mount Lebanon for example), is geared towards the processing of backlogged real estate transactions. As such, the figures displayed in the below section do not reflect the real momentum of the real estate sector during the concerned period when compared to the corresponding period in the previous year. On an annual basis, the number of real estate transactions rose by 95.10% in the full year 2025 to 70,981 compared to 36,382 in 2024 with the value of transactions increasing by 112.90% to LBP 551.05 trillion (around $6.16 billion). Foreigners’ share of real estate sale transactions dropped to 2.09% in 2025 from 2.36% in 2024 yet stood higher than the 1.87% reading reported in the year 2023 as illustrated in the chart below:
