According to the statistics published by the Automobile Importers Association (AIA), the number of newly registered cars stood at 1,521 cars in August 2026 compared to 1,869 cars in July and 1,530 cars in June. The monthly evolution in the number of new car registrations over the past 13 months depicts a rollercoaster trend as illustrated in the chart below:
On a cumulative basis, new car registrations posted an annual increase of 23.32% to 9,885 cars YTD August 2026 compared to 8,016 cars in the same period in 2025 buoyed by an improvement in the political and security environment prior to the recent escalation of the conflict locally and in the region coupled with the implementation of some reforms at the Traffic and Management Authority (TMO) level. These figures, however, are still dwarfed by the 18,165 level registered over the same period in 2019.
استناداً إلى إحصاءات جمعيّة مستوردي السيّارات، وصل عدد السيّارات الجديدة المسجّلة في لبنان إلى 1،521 سيّارة في شهر آب 2026 مقارنةً مع 1،869 سيّارة في شهر تمّوز و1،530 سيّارة في شهر حزيران للذكر لا الحصر. يبيّن التطوّر الشهري في حركة تسجيل السيّارات خلال الفترة الممتدّة بين آب 2025 وآب 2026 تقلّبات كبيرة كما هو مبيّن في البيان التالي:
على صعيد تراكمي، زاد عدد السيّارات الجديدة المسجّلة بنسبة سنويّة بلغت 23.32% إلى 9،885 سيّارة حتّى شهر آب من العام 2026 مقارنةً ب8،016 سيّارة في الفترة عينها من العام 2025 وذلك نتيجة التحسّن في المشهدين السياسي والأمني (قبل اندلاع الحرب الأخيرة في لبنان وفي المنطقة) كما وتطبيق بعض الإصلاحات في مصلحة تسجيل السيّارات. إلّا إنّ هذه الأرقام تبقى خجولة مقارنةً بمستوى ال18،165 سيّارة جديدة المسجّلة خلال الأشهر الثمانية الأولى من العام 2019.
