Lebanon’s gross public debt rose by $353.57 million during the sixth month of the current year to $85.73 billion, up from $85.38 billion in May. On an annual basis, gross public debt widened by $2.79 billion when benchmarked to the $82.94 billion reading recorded in June of last year. The share of the Lebanese banking sector of gross public debt fell to 37.83% in June, down from 38.22% in May.
As far as debt in local currency is concerned, the latter rose by 0.44% month-on-month and by 11.74% year-on-year to $53.46 billion. On the other hand, debt in foreign currency increased by 0.38% on a monthly basis yet fell by 8.05% on a yearly basis to $32.28 billion. The share of debt in local currency increased to 62.35% of gross public debt in June 2019 (compared to 62.34% a month earlier), while that in foreign currency contracted to 37.65% (compared to 37.66% in May).
Net public debt, which factors out public sector deposits, came in 5.86% higher on a yearly basis at $76.48 billion in June, noting that public sector deposits plunged by 13.53% to $9.26 billion.

بحسب إحصاءات جمعيّة المصارف في لبنان، إرتفع الدين العامّ الإجمالي بحوالي 353.57 مليون د.أ. خلال الشهر السادس من العام الحالي إلى 85.73 مليار د.أ.، من 85.38 مليار د.أ. في الشهر الذي سبقه. كذلك على صعيدٍ سنويٍّ، فقد زاد الدين العامّ الإجمالي ب2.79 مليار د.أ. مقارنةً بالمستوى الذي كان عليه في شهر حزيران 2018، والبالغ حينها 82.94 مليار د.أ. يجدر الذكر، في هذا السياق، أنّ حصّة القطاع المصرفي من الدين العامّ قد إنخفضت إلى 37.83% في حزيران من العام الحالي، من 38.22% في شهر أيّار.
في التفاصيل، زاد الدين بالليرة اللبنانيّة بنسبة 0.44% على أساسٍ شهريٍّ وبنسبة 11.74% على أساسٍ سنويٍّ إلى 53.46 مليار د.أ. في المقلب الآخر، زاد الدين بالعملة الأجنبيّة بنسبة 0.38% على صعيدٍ شهريّ فيما إنكمش بنسبة 8.05% على صعيدٍ سنويٍّ ليصل إلى 32.28 مليار د.أ. وقد نَمَت حصّة الدين بالليرة اللبنانيّة إلى 62.35% من مجموع الدين العامّ (من 62.34% في شهر أيّار)، فيما تراجعت حصّة الدين بالعملة الأجنبيّة إلى 37.65% (من 37.66% في أيّار).
وقد زاد صافي الدين العامّ، والذي يقتطع ودائع القطاع العامّ، بنسبة 5.86% سنويّاً إلى 76.48 مليار د.أ.، من 72.24 مليار د.أ. في الشهر السادس من العام 2018.
يظهر البيان التالي تطوّر صافي الدين العامّ خلال السنوات القليلة المنصرمة، مسجّلاً نموّاً سنويّاً مركّباً (Compounded Annual Growth) بلغت نسبته 7.16% خلال الفترة الممتدّة بين حزيران 2012 وحزيران 2019.
