Freight activity via the Port of Tripoli rose to nearly 251 thousand tons during the month of August 2020, up from around 149 thousand tons a month earlier. Imported freight accounted for 78.66% of total freight (197,740 tons), while export activity constituted a meager 21.34% (53,661 tons). On a cumulative basis, however, Tripoli Port freight activity contracted by 14.64% y-o-y to 1,265 thousand tons during the first eight months of 2020 compared to 1,482 thousand tons in the same period last year. In addition, the number of vessels fell by 14.11% y-o-y to 359 by August 2020, with the number of imported cars via the Tripoli Port plunging by 67.72% to 713. In this context, port-related revenues (excluding VAT and customs) dropped by 27.77% on an annual basis to about $7.66 million down from $10.61 million during that same period last year.
إرتفعت حركة الشحن العامّ عبر مرفأ طرابلس لتجاور عتبة ال251 ألف طن خلال شهر آب 2020، مقابِل حوالي 149 ألف طن في الشهر الذي سبقه. في التفاصيل، شَكَّلَت الشحنات الوارِدة 78.66% من مجموع حركة الشحن (197،740 طن)، في حين بلغت نسبة الحمولات المصدَّرة 21.34% (53،661 طن). أمّا على صعيدٍ تراكميٍّ، فقد إنخفضت حركة الشحن العامّ عبر مرفأ طرابلس بنسبة 14.64% على صعيدٍ سنويٍّ إلى 1،265 ألف طن خلال الأشهر الثمانية الأولى من العام الجاري، مقارنةً ب1،482 ألف طن خلال الفترة نفسها من العام 2019. بالإضافة إلى ذلك، تراجع عدد البواخر بنسبة 14.11% سنويّاً إلى 359 باخرة مع نهاية شهر آب 2020، في حين إنكمش عدد السيّارات المستوردة عبر مرفأ طرابلس بنسبة 67.72% إلى 713 سيّارة. في هذا الإطار، إنخفضت العائدات المرفئيّة (دون إحتساب الواردات الجمركيّة والواردات من الضريبة على القيمة المضافة) لمرفأ طرابلس بنسبة 27.77% على صعيدٍ سنويٍّ إلى نحو 7.66 مليون د.أ. من 10.61 مليون د.أ. في الفترة الموازية من العام 2019.
