All monetary aggregates ended the week of June 3, 2021 on a positive note. The overall money supply, “M4”, soared by LBP 823.53 billion on a weekly basis and by 3.70% on an annual basis to LBP 214,592 billion, noting that the non-banking sector’s Treasury bills portfolio increased by LBP 95 billion during the concerned week.
In parallel, Lebanese-Pound denominated deposits and currency in circulation, “M1”, widened by LBP 1,093.10 million week-on-week to LBP 50,559 billion on the back of some LBP 822 billion expansion in currency in circulation, coupled with the LBP 271 billion increase in demand deposits. Local currency term deposits, “M2”, also expanded by LBP 1,003.83 billion on a weekly basis and by 28.20% year-on-year to settle at LBP 74,998 billion.
Consequently, private sector term and saving deposits denominated in LBP (“M2-M1”) receded by LBP 89.27 billion (0.36%) to LBP 24,439 billion during the week of June 3, with deposits denominated in foreign currencies (“M3-M2”) sinking by LBP 275.43 billion (0.22%) to LBP 127,606 billion.
أنهت كلّ المؤشّرات النقديّة أسبوعها المنتهي في 3 حزيران 2021 على وقع إيجابيّ. في التفاصيل، إرتفعا الكتلة النقديّة بمفهومها الواسع، "م4"، ب823.53 مليار ل.ل. على صعيدٍ أسبوعيٍّ وبنسبة 3.70% على صعيدٍ سنويٍّ إلى 214،592 مليار ل.ل.، مع العلم أنّ محفظة سندات الخزينة المكتتَب بها من قِبَل القطاع غير المصرفي قد زادت ب95 مليار ل.ل. في الأسبوع المذكور.
في المقابل، نمت الكتلة النقديّة "م1"، والتي تشمل السيولة الجاهزة بالليرة اللبنانيّة، ب1،093.10 مليار ل.ل. على أساسٍ أسبوعيٍّ إلى 50،559 مليار ل.ل.، وذلك بفعل إرتفاع حجم النقد المتداول ب822 مليار ل.ل.، ترافقاً مع زيادة حجم الودائع تحت الطلب ب271 مليار ل.ل. وقد إرتفعت الكتلة النقديّة بالليرة اللبنانيّة، "م2"، ب1،003.83 مليار ل.ل. خلال الأسبوع المعني وبنسبة 28.20% سنويّاً لتصل إلى 74،998 مليار ل.ل.
في هذا الإطار، تدنّى حجم الإدّخار بالعملة الوطنيّة (م2-م1) ب89.27 مليار ل.ل. (0.36%) إلى 24،439 مليار ل.ل. في الأسبوع المنتهي في 3 حزيران، كما وتقلّص رصيد الودائع المعنونة بالعملات الأجنبيّة (م3-م2) ب275.43 مليار ل.ل. (0.22%) إلى 127،606 مليار ل.ل.
