Cement deliveries, the coincident indicator of construction activity, increased by 41.48% during the month of March 2022 to 122,435 tons, up from 86,537 tons a month earlier. On an annual basis, cement deliveries rose by 55.99% to 317,460 tons in the first quarter of 2022 in comparison with 203,514 tons during the same period last year.

Cement deliveries registered a negative compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) of 13.88% over the March 2015 – March 2022 period, mirroring the lackluster activity of Lebanon’s construction sector amidst the pale economic situation.

سَجَّلَت تسليمات الإسمنت، والتي تشكِّل مؤشِّراً رئيسيّاً للنشاط العقاري، إرتفاعاً بنسبة 41.48% خلال الشهر الثالث من العام 2022 إلى 122،435 طن، مقابِل 86،537 طن في الشهر الذي سبقه. كذلك على صعيدٍ سنويٍّ، فقد زادت تسليمات الإسمنت بنسبة 55.99% إلى 317،460 طن في الفصل الأوّل من العام 2022 مقارنةً ب203،514 طن في الفترة ذاتها من العام 2021.

يُظهِر البيان التالي أنّ نسبة النموّ السنوي المركَّب (Compounded Annual Growth Rate) لتسليمات الإسمنت كانت سلبيّةً عند 13.88% خلال الفترة الممتدّة بين شهريّ آذار 2015 وآذار 2022، ما يَعكس ضعفاً في ديناميكيّة قطاع البناء في ظلّ الركود الإقتصادي الذي تشهده البلاد.
