The Lebanese caretaker government recently approved increasing the minimum wage to LBP 9 million, adjusting public sector salaries as follows:
- Public Sector Employees: a temporary increase of four times the basic salary, on the condition that said increase does not fall below LBP 8 million
- Members of the Lebanese Armed Forces: a temporary increase of three times the basic salary, on the condition that said increase does not fall below LBP 7 million
- Retirees: a temporary increase of three times the retirement salary
However, and in all of the above cases, the temporary increase allotted to the employees will be capped at LBP 50 million. In parallel, the council of ministers also ratified raising the transportation allowance to LBP 450,000 per day.
قامت حكومة تصريف الأعمال مؤخّراً برفع الحد الأدنى للأجور إلى 9 مليون ل.ل. فيما تمّ تعديل رواتب القطاع العام على الشكل التالي:
- للموظفين الحكوميين: زيادة مؤقّتة بأربعة أضعاف الراتب الأساسي على شرط أن لا تقلّ هذه الزيادة عن 8 مليون ل.ل.
- لأعضاء السلك العسكري: زيادة مؤقّتة بثلاثة أضعاف الراتب الأساسي على شرط أن لا تقلّ هذه الزيادة عن 7 مليون ل.ل.
- للمتقاعدين: زيادة مؤقّتة بثلاثة أضعاف الراتب التقاعدي
إلأ إنّه في جميع الحالات المذكورة آنفاً، يجب أن لا تتخطّى الزيادة المؤقتّة 50 مليون ل.ل. بالتوازي، أقرّ مجلس الوزراء زيادة بدل النقل اليومي إلى 450،000 ل.ل.
