The Lebanese Parliament passed on Friday January 26 the year 2024 budget after two days of deliberations by MPs. Although the final figures have not been published, the budget was criticized for its lack of the much needed financial reforms (among which the unification of the multiple exchange rates) to unlock some $3 billion in financial assistance to Lebanon by the International Monetary Fund.
أقرّ المجلس النيابي اللبناني يوم الجمعة 26 كانون الثاني موازنة العام 2024 بعد يومين من المداخلات التي تقدّم بها النوّاب. ومع إنّ الأرقام النهائيّة لم يتم نشرها فإنّ قانون الموازنة لم يتضمّن الإصلاحات الماليّة الأساسيّة المطلوبة من قبل صندوق النقد الدولي لاسيّما توحيد أسعار الصرف لتحرير المساعدات المتّفق عليها بقيمة 3 مليار د.أ. للبنان على فترة 46 شهر.
