Electricité du Liban (EDL) has recently announced that its board of directors, and after having obtained the approval of the concerned ministerial authorities, has decided to downwardly adjust some of its tariffs. In details, EDL has waived the monthly subscription fee, which ranged between $4.3 and $17.5 depending on consumption levels and the power delivered, along with abolishing the 20% increment over the prevailing Sayrafa rate (now that the Sayrafa rata and the market rate are aligned). EDL clarified that citizens whose subscriptions range between 15 and 20 amperes (72% of residential subscribers) will witness a 46% decrease in their monthly fixed costs, while this tariff for companies would drop by around 51%. Finally, EDL gave the option to subscribers to settle their bills either in LBP or in USD, noting that the aforementioned amendments will come into effect starting the invoices of May 2023 which will be soon published.
أعلنت شركة كهرباء لبنان مؤخّراً بأنّ مجلس إدارتها وبعد الحصول على موافقة الجهات الوزاريّة المعنيّة قد قرّر تخفيض تعرفة الشركة. بالتفاصيل، فقد ألغت شركة كهرباء لبنان رسم إشتراك بدل التأهيل الشهري الذي يتراوح بين 4.3 د.أ. و17.5 د.أ. بحسب مستويات الإستهلاك والطاقة المسلّمة كما و ألغت نسبة لـ20% التي كانت مضافة على سعر منصة صيرفة (إذ أنّ سعر منصّة صيرفة قد أصبح مشابهاً لسعر السوق). كما وأوضحت المؤسّسة بأنّ المواطنين الذين تتراوح إشتراكاتهم بين 15 و20 أمبير (72% من المشتركين) سيشهدون إنخفاضاً في تكاليفهم الشهرية الثابتة بنسبة 46%، في حين ستنخفض التكاليف الثابتة للشركات بنحو 51%. أخيراً، أعطت مؤسسة كهرباء لبنان خيار للمشتركين بتسديد فواتيرهم إما باللّيرة اللبنانيّة أو بالدولار الأميركي، علماً بأنّ التعديلات المذكورة تدخل حيز التنفيذ اعتباراً من فواتير أيار 2023 التي ستصدر قريباً.
