According to the statistics published by the Automobile Importers Association (AIA), new cars registration activity improved during the month of April 2024 to 596 cars, compared to 335 in March, yet stood lower than the 833 reading registered in April 2023. It is worth noting, in this regard, that the high figure in April 2023 can be attributed to the closure of the Traffic Management Organization (TMO) during the second and third months of the year, compiling as such car registrations during the concerned month. On a cumulative basis, the number of car registrations stood at 1,818 YTD April, compared to 1,480 a year earlier, yet are still dwarfed by the >8K pre-crisis level registered during the first four months of 2019.
إستناداً إلى إحصاءات جمعيّة مستوردي السيّارات، تحسّنت حركة تسجيل السيّارات الجديدة في لبنان خلال الشهر الرابع من العام 2024 إلى 596 سيّارة مقارنةً مع 335 سيّارة خلال شهر آذار، إلّا أنّها بقيت أدنى من المستوى المسجّل خلال شهر نيسان 2023 (833 سيّارة) وهو ما يمكن عزوه إلى إقفال هيئة إدارة السير والآليّات والمركبات لأبوابها خلال الشهرين الثاني والثالث من العام 2023 ما راكم عمليّات التسجيل خلال شهر نيسان. على صعيد تراكمي، تحسّنت حركة تسجيل السيّارات الجديدة خلال الأشهر الأربعة الأولى من العام الحالي، إذ وصل عدد السيّارات الجديدة المسجّلة إلى 1،818 سيّارة، مقارنةً مع 1،480 سيّارة في الفترة نفسها من العام 2023 إلّا إنّها بقيت أدنى بكثير من مستويات ما قبل الأزمة (أكثر من 8،000 سيّارة جديدة مسجّلة خلال الأشهر الأربعة الأولى من العام 2019).
