The Saudi Arabian ambassador in Lebanon Mr. Walid Bukhari announced on July 2, 2024 that Saudi Arabia will grant $10 million to Lebanon to support stability and development in the country through the “King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center”. Mr. Bukhari mentioned during the signing of a memorandum between the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center and Lebanon’s Higher Relief Council at the Grand Serail that the support highlights the commitment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia towards humanitarian and relief efforts that target stability and development in Lebanon. It is worth noting that to date, Saudi Arabia has contributed $2.7 billion over the years in humanitarian and development projects in Lebanon.
