The Lebanese Parliament passed recently a law that allows for the establishment of de-centralized economic zones for technological industries, in an endeavor to attract foreign investments to the sector and increase employment opportunities. In details, the law exempts companies in the technology sector from income taxes, custom duties, social security contributions and a host of other taxes. Nevertheless, the law still requires the appointment of a telecom regulatory authority and some implementing decrees to come into effect.
أقرّ مجلس النواب اللبناني مؤخراً قانون يسمح بإنشاء مناطق إقتصاديّة لامركزيّة للصناعات التكنولوجية، سعياً لجذب الإستثمارات الأجنبيّة إلى هذا القطاع وزيادة فرص العمل. ويُعفي القانون الشركات العاملة في قطاع التكنولوجيا من ضريبة الدخل والرسوم الجمركيّة وإشتراكات الضمان الإجتماعي ومروحة من الضرائب الأخرى. إلّا إنّ القانون ما زال يحتاج إلى تعيين هيئة ناظمة لقطاع الإتّصالات وإصدار بعض المراسيم التطبيقيّة لدخوله حيز التنفيذ.
