Forbes Middle East Magazine recently released its “30 under 30” list for the year 2025 in which it identifies the young “change-makers” in the Middle East region who are exceeding expectations and shaping the future of the region. These young individuals, according to Forbes Middle East, are “redefining” the meaning of success in the region. The list features 90 entries and 113 individuals from 24 nationalities with individuals allocated over three categories being “Science and Technology”, “Commerce and Finance” and “Social Impact, Sports and Lifestyle”, each encompassing 30 entries. Forbes Middle East noted that in order to identify the most promising talent in the Middle East, it first scanned the market for standout achievers and opened online nominations (which allowed applicants to nominate themselves or others) with the magazine afterwards evaluating the list of hundreds of applicants and choosing 200 from them. Finally, the process was handed to the magazine’s external judges who conducted their own reviews, assessed the criteria, and provided recommendations on the individuals who should make it to the final list, noting that the evaluation considers both quantitative and qualitative measures. Forbes added that the criteria to be eligible to apply for the “30 under 30” list for the year 2025 are the following:
- Each applicant must be under 30 years of age as of December 31, 2024
- The business/initiative has to be based in and dedicated to MENA residents
- If a business has two or more cofounders under 30 years of age, they are all counted as one entry
According to Forbes Middle East Magazine, Egyptians led the year 2025 list with 19 individuals, followed by Saudis (18), Lebanese (15), and each of Emiratis and Jordanians (6). Furthermore, the rising talents are based across 18 countries, with the U.A.E. hosting 34 individuals, Saudi Arabia 25, Egypt 15, and Lebanon 11, bearing in mind that the average age across the list is 26.9 years.
Regarding Lebanese individuals, three belonged to the “Science and Technology” field, while eight operated in the “Commerce and Finance” field, and four in the “Social Impact, Sports, and Lifestyle” field.
أصدرت مجلة فوربس الشرق الأوسط قائمة "30 ما دون ال30" (30 Under 30) للعام 2025 والتي تحدّد صانعي التغيير من الشباب الذين هم ما دون الثلاثين من العمر في منطقة الشرق الأوسط والذين يتخطّون التوقّعات ويساهمون في رسم مستقبل المنطقة. وبحسب قائمة مجلّة فوربز، فإنّ هؤلاء الأشخاص يعيدون صياغة معنى النجاح في المنطقة. وتشمل القائمة 90 إدخالاً و113 شخصاً موزّعين على 24 جنسيّة بحيث توزّع الأفراد على ثلاثة فئات (شمل كلّ منها 30 إدخالاً) ألا وهي فئة "التجارة والتمويل" وفئة "التأثير الإجتماعي والرياضة وطريقة العيش" وفئة "علوم الحياة والتكنولوجيا". أمّا بالنسبة لآلية الإختيار فقد أشارت فوربس الشرق الأوسط إلى أنها قامت أولاً بمسح السوق بحثاً عن المتميّزين كما وفتحت باب الترشيحات عبر الإنترنت (مما أتاح للمتقدمين ترشيح أنفسهم أو غيرهم)، وذلك بهدف تحديد المواهب الواعدة في الشرق الأوسط. بعد ذلك قامت المجلّة بتقييم قائمة تضم مئات المتقدمين وإختارت 200 مرشّح من بينهم. أخيراً، أُحيلت هذه العملية إلى لجنة تحكيم خارجيّة تابعة للمجلّة، حيث أجرت هذه اللجنة مراجعاتها الخاصة وقيّمت المعايير ومن ثمّ قدّمت توصيات بشأن الأفراد الأجدر بالوصول إلى القائمة النهائيّة، مع الإشارة إلى أنّ عملية التقييم تأخذ في عين الإعتبار معايير كميّة ونوعيّة على حدّ سواء. وقد أضافت مجلّة فوربز أنّ المعايير المطلوبة للتأهّل لقائمة "30 ما دون ال30" للعام 2025 هي التالية:
- يجب على كلّ متقدّم أن يكون عمره دون ال30 عامّاً كما في تاريخ 31 كانون الأوّل 2024
- يجب أن يكون مقرّ الشركات أو المبادرات في منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال إفريقيا ويجب أن تكون مخصّصة للمقيمين فيها
- في حال كان للشركة مؤسّسين أو أكثر دون ال30 سنة من العمر، فإنّهم يعتبرون كإدخال واحد
وبحسب مجلّة فوربز الشرق الأوسط، فقد تصدّرت مصر قائمة "30 ما دون ال30" مع بروز 19 شخصاً ضمن اللائحة، تلتها المملكة العربيّة السعوديّة (18) ولبنان (15) وكلٍّ من الإمارات العربيّة المتّحدة والأردن (6 لكلٍّ منهما). بالإضافة إلى ذلك، فقد توزّع هؤلاء الأشخاص على 18 بلداً حيث كان مقر 34 شخصاً في الإمارات العربيّة المتّحدة و25 في المملكة العربيّة السعوديّة و15 في مصر 15 و11 في لبنان علماً أنّ متوسّط عمر الأفراد ضمن اللائحة هو 26.9 سنة.
بالنسبة للأشخاص اللبنانيّين الذين برزوا على القائمة، فإنّ ثلاثة منهم صنّفوا ضمن فئة "علوم الحياة والتكنولوجيا" وثمانية منهم ضمن فئة "التجارة والتمويل" وأربعة ضمن فئة "التأثير الإجتماعي والرياضة وطريقة العيش".
