The Lebanese Central Bank issued on January 13, 2026 intermediate decision number 13795 under intermediate circular 754 which amended basic decision number 6939 under basic circular 44. In details, the circular gave banks until end of year 2026 to liquidate any real estate secured from shareholders as part of their 20% cash contribution to capital that was required by BDL at the onset of the local financial crisis.
