According to the statistics published by the Automobile Importers Association (AIA), the number of newly registered cars stood at 1,166 cars in January 2026, compared to 1,312 cars in December 2025 and 1,150 cars in November, only to name a few. The monthly evolution in the number of new car registrations depicts a rollercoaster trend as illustrated in the chart below:
On an annual basis, new car registrations posted an increase of 37.34% from 849 cars in January 2025, buoyed by an improvement in the political and security environment coupled with the implementation of some reforms at the Traffic and Management Authority (TMO) level. These figures, however, are still dwarfed by the 1,838 level registered during the month of January 2019.
إستناداً إلى إحصاءات جمعيّة مستوردي السيّارات، وصل عدد السيّارات الجديدة المسجّلة في لبنان إلى 1،166 سيّارة في شهر كانون الثاني 2026 مقارنةً مع 1،312 سيّارة في شهر كانون الأول 2025 و1،150 سيّارة في شهر تشرين الثاني للذكر لا الحصر. يبيّن التطوّر الشهري في حركة تسجيل السيّارات تقلّبات كبيرة كما هو مبيّن في البيان التالي:
على صعيد سنوي، زاد عدد السيّارات الجديدة المسجّلة بنسبة 37.34% عند مقارنته بالمستوى المسجّل في الشهر الأوّل من العام 2025 والبالغ 849 سيّارة وذلك نتيجة التحسّن في المشهدين السياسي والأمني كما وتطبيق بعض الإصلاحات في مصلحة تسجيل السيّارات. إلّا إنّ هذه الأرقام تبقى خجولة مقارنةً بمستوى ال1،838 سيّارة جديدة المسجّلة خلال شهر كانون الثاني 2019.
