Cement deliveries, the coincident indicator of construction activity, fell by 2.61% during the month of December 2025 to 233,198 tons, down from 239,453 tons a month earlier. However, and on an annual basis, cement deliveries increased by 36.01% to 3.02 million tons in 2025, in comparison with 2.22 million tons in 2024, and just coming 5.7% short of the 3.2 million tons level registered in 2019 before the eruption of the local financial crisis. The rebound in cement deliveries in 2025 can be attributed to the improvement in the local political scene and security conditions.

 

 

Cement deliveries registered a negative compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) of 6.13% over the 2018 –2025 period, mirroring the lackluster activity of Lebanon’s construction sector amidst the pale economic situation.

 

سَجَّلَت تسليمات الإسمنت، والتي تشكِّل مؤشِّراً رئيسيّاً للنشاط العقاري، إنكماشاً بنسبة 2.61% خلال شهر كانون الأول من العام 2025 إلى 233،198 طن، مقابِل 239،453 طن في الشهر الذي سبقه. أمّا على صعيدٍ تراكمي، فقد زادت تسليمات الإسمنت بنسبة 36.01% في العام 2025 إلى 3.02 مليون طن مقارنةً ب2.22 مليون طن خلال العام 2024 غير أنّها لا زالت أدنى بنسبة 5.7% من المستوى المسجّل في العام 2019 قبل إندلاع الأزمة الماليّة المحليّة والبالغ حينها 3.20 مليون طن. يمكن تعليل التطوّر المذكور خلال العام 2025 بتحسّن المشهد السياسي العام  والأوضاع الأمنيّة.

يُظهِر البيان التالي أنّ نسبة النموّ السنوي المركَّب (Compounded Annual Growth Rate) لتسليمات الإسمنت كانت سلبيّةً عند 6.13% خلال الفترة الممتدّة بين عاميّ 2018 وعاميّ 2025، ما يَعكس ضعفاً في ديناميكيّة قطاع البناء في ظلّ الركود الإقتصادي الذي تشهده البلاد.
