According to the statistics published by the Automobile Importers Association (AIA), the number of newly registered cars stood at 958 cars in March 2026 (its lowest reading since April 2025 on the back of the repercussions of the war) compared to 1,141 cars in February and 1,166 cars in January. The monthly evolution in the number of new car registrations over the past 12 months depicts a rollercoaster trend as illustrated in the chart below:
On a cumulative basis, new car registrations posted an annual increase of 40.43% to 3,265 cars as at the end of the first quarter of 2026 compared to 2,325 cars in the same quarter in 2025, buoyed by an improvement in the political and security environment (prior to the recent escalation of the conflict locally and in the region) coupled with the implementation of some reforms at the Traffic and Management Authority (TMO) level. These figures, however, are still dwarfed by the 5,913 level registered during the first quarter of 2019.
إستناداً إلى إحصاءات جمعيّة مستوردي السيّارات، وصل عدد السيّارات الجديدة المسجّلة في لبنان إلى 958 سيّارة في شهر آذار 2026 (أدنى مستوى له منذ شهر نيسان 2025 نتيجة تداعيات الحرب الدائرة) مقارنةً مع 1،141 سيّارة في شهر شباط و1،166 سيّارة في شهر كانون الثاني للذكر لا الحصر. يبيّن التطوّر الشهري في حركة تسجيل السيّارات خلال الفترة الممتدّة بين آذار 2025 وآذار 2026 تقلّبات كبيرة كما هو مبيّن في البيان التالي:
على صعيد تراكمي، زاد عدد السيّارات الجديدة المسجّلة بنسبة سنويّة بلغت 40.43% إلى 3،265 سيّارة في نهاية الفصل الأوّل من العام 2026 مقارنةً ب2،325 سيّارة في الفصل نفسه من العام 2025 وذلك نتيجة التحسّن في المشهدين السياسي والأمني (قبل إندلاع الحرب الأخيرة في لبنان وفي المنطقة) كما وتطبيق بعض الإصلاحات في مصلحة تسجيل السيّارات. إلّا إنّ هذه الأرقام تبقى خجولة مقارنةً بمستوى ال5،913 سيّارة جديدة المسجّلة في الفصل الأوّل من العام 2019.
