Germany has recently donated €7.5 million for an agricultural support project in Lebanon that will be implemented by the Lebanese Ministry of Agriculture and German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ). The project will mainly aim at enhancing agricultural value chains and market access, while strengthening institutional coordination and building the technical and administrative capacities of rural development stakeholders in the North, Akkar, Mount Lebanon and Bekaa areas. The Lebanese Minister of Agriculture Mr. Nizar Hani commented that said project will aid in moving the sector from a crisis management phase to a sustainable development and high productivity phase.
قدّمت ألمانيا مؤخراً هبة بقيمة 7.5 مليون يورو لدعم مشروع زراعي في لبنان ستتولّى تنفيذه وزارة الزراعة اللبنانيّة والوكالة الألمانيّة للتعاون الدولي. ويهدف المشروع بشكل أساسي إلى تعزيز سلاسل القيمة الزراعية وتسهيل الوصول إلى الأسواق، بالتوازي مع تطوير التنسيق المؤسّساتي وبناء القدرات الفنيّة والإداريّة للجهات الفاعلة في مجال التنمية الريفيّة في مناطق الشمال وعكّار وجبل لبنان والبقاع. في هذا السياق، صرّح وزير الزراعة اللبناني السيد نزار هاني بأنّ هذا المشروع سيساهم في نقل القطاع الزراعي من مرحلة إدارة الأزمات إلى مرحلة التنمية المستدامة والإنتاجيّة العالية.
