Freight activity via the Port of Tripoli rebounded during the month of April 2026 with the total weight of shipped goods increasing to 187 thousand tons compared to 112 thousand tons in March (66.96% increase). Imported freight accounted for 83.42% (156 thousand tons) of total freight in the fourth month of the current year, while export activity constituted 16.58% (31 thousand tons). On a cumulative basis, Tripoli Port freight activity came in 29.32% lower y-o-y during the first four months of 2026 to 564 thousand tons of total weight of shipped goods, compared to 798 thousand tons in the same period in 2025. Similarly, the number of vessels decreased by 30.15% on a yearly basis to 190, with the number of imported cars decreasing by 75.79% (698 cars) to 223 cars. In this context, port-related revenues dropped by 22.80% y-o-y to $6.29 million up to the month of April 2026, compared to $8.14 million in the first four months of 2025.
