The Lebanese Central Bank published on September 14, 2026 intermediate decisions 13844 and 13845 under intermediate circulars 775 and 776 which amended basic decisions 13335 and 13611 under basic circulars 158 and 166. In details, intermediate circulars 775 and 776 noted that individual institutions, as well as associations licensed by the competent authorities, and associations and religious endowments subject to the applicable legal frameworks, have become eligible to benefit from the provisions of basic circulars 158 and 166 which consent depositors to withdraw from their bank accounts $1,000 and $500 per month respectively.
