The number of passengers travelling via the Beirut International Airport (BIA) rose by 2.17% on an annual basis to 7,700,078 during the first ten months of the current year, up from 7,536,392 passengers over that same period last year. More specifically, the number of arriving travelers expanded by 0.67% y-o-y to 3,787,831, while the number of departing travelers increased by 2.71% to 3,872,084. Concurrently, the number of transit travelers skyrocketed to 40,163 by end of October, with the number of flights edging 0.68% higher on a yearly basis to 62,860. It is worth highlighting, in this context, that the share of Middle East Airlines (MEA) of total flights rose from 34.73% during the first ten months of the year 2018 to 36.95% at end of October 2019. إرتفع عدد المسافرين عبر مطار بيروت بنسبة 2.17% على صعيدٍ سنويٍّ إلى 7،700،078 مسافر خلال فترة الأشهُر العشرة الأولى من العام الحالي، مقارنةً مع 7،536،392 مسافر في الفترة ذاتها من العام المنصرم. في التفاصيل، تحسَّن عدد الوافدين إلى لبنان بنسبة 0.67% على أساسٍ سنويٍّ إلى 3،787،831، ترافقاً مع زيادة عدد المغادرين بنسبة 2.71% إلى 3،872،084 مسافر. بالتوازي، وَصَلَ عدد العابرين (ترانزيت) عبر مطار بيروت الدولي إلى 40،163 مسافر حتّى شهر تشرين الأوّل، كما وإرتفع عدد الرحلات الجويّة بنسبة 0.68% سنويّاً إلى 62،860. وقد نَمَت حصّة طيران الشرق الأوسط من إجمالي الرحلات من 34.73% في الأشهُر العشرة الأولى من العام 2018 إلى 36.95% في الفترة ذاتها من العام 2019، كما هو مبيّن أدناه:
