The Lebanese Central Bank issued on February 13, 2020 intermediate circular no. 544 addressed to banks operating in Lebanon in which it requires banks to abide by the interest rate ceilings paid on new or renewed customer deposits after February 13, 2020 on the following basis:

The provisions of said circular are valid for a period of 6 months from date of issuance.
