Freight activity via the Port of Tripoli rose to nearly 123 thousand tons during the month of March 2020, up from around 96 thousand tons a month earlier. Imported freight accounted for 81.42% of total freight (100,360 tons), while export activity constituted a meager 18.58% (22,896 tons). However on a cumulative basis, Tripoli Port freight activity contracted by 24.11% y-o-y to 408 thousand tons during the first quarter of 2020 compared to 538 thousand tons in the same period last year. In addition, the number of vessels fell by 17.42% y-o-y to 128 by March 2020, with the number of imported cars via the Tripoli Port plunging by 88.67% to 92. In this context, port-related revenues (excluding VAT and customs) dropped by 33.41% on an annual basis to about $2.81 million during the first quarter of 2020, down from $4.22 million during the same quarter last year.
إرتفعت حركة الشحن العامّ عبر مرفأ طرابلس لتجاور عتبة ال123 ألف طن خلال شهر آذار 2020، مقابِل حوالي 96 ألف طن في الشهر الذي سبقه. في التفاصيل، شَكَّلَت الشحنات الوارِدة 81.42% من مجموع حركة الشحن (100،360 طن)، في حين بلغت نسبة الحمولات المصدَّرة 18.58% (22،896 طن). أمّا على صعيدٍ تراكميٍّ، فقد إنخفضت حركة الشحن العامّ عبر مرفأ طرابلس بنسبة 24.11% على صعيدٍ سنويٍّ إلى 408 ألف طن خلال الفصل الأوّل من العام الجاري، مقارنةً ب538 ألف طن خلال الفترة نفسها من العام 2019. بالإضافة إلى ذلك، تراجع عدد البواخر بنسبة 17.42% سنويّاً إلى 128 باخرة مع نهاية شهر آذار 2020، في حين إنكمش عدد السيّارات المستوردة عبر مرفأ طرابلس بنسبة 88.67% إلى 92 سيّارة. في هذا الإطار، إنخفضت العائدات المرفئيّة (دون إحتساب الواردات الجمركيّة والواردات من الضريبة على القيمة المضافة) لمرفأ طرابلس بنسبة 33.41% على صعيدٍ سنويٍّ إلى نحو 2.81 مليون د.أ. في الفصل الأوّل من العام 2020 من 4.22 مليون د.أ. في الفترة الموازية من العام 2019.
