According to a press release issued by Byblos Bank on July 1, 2020, the Bank has applied for the delisting and cancellation of trading of its GDRs from the London Stock Exchange (LSE) effective as of July 30, 2020. Said decision came in light of the thin trading volumes compared to the costs and administrative burden of maintaining the listing on the LSE. The Bank stated that the GDRs will continue to be listed and traded on the Beirut Stock Exchange and added that after being delisted from the LSE, all GDRs will remain outstanding, noting that each GDR represents 50 common shares.
بحسب بيان صحفي صادر عن بنك بيبلوس بتاريخ 1 تمّوز 2020، فقد قدّم المصرف طلب بإلغاء إدراج وتوقيف التداول بشهادات الإيداع المصدّرة من قبله بدءاً من 30 تمّوز 2020 بسبب حجم التداول الصغير مقارنةً بالتكاليف التيّ يتكبّدها في هذا الخصوص. كما وذكر البيان أنّ شهادات الإيداع التابعة لبنك بيبلوس سوف تبقى مدرجة على بورصة بيروت ولن يتمّ إلغائها، علماً أنّ كلّ شهادة إيداع تمثّل 50 سهم عاديّ.
