Activity on the Beirut Stock Exchange (BSE) was sluggish this week following the devastating damages caused by the Beirut port explosion on August 4. The number of shares changing hands this week on the BSE stood at 300,505 shares, with value traded reaching $4.17 million. Trades were mainly concentrated in real estate sector stocks, which accounted for 98.98% of weekly traded volume.

The average daily traded volume stood at 60,101 shares, with the average daily traded value amounting to $0.83 million.

The BSE’s market capitalization attained $6.19 billion on Friday with two losing and one gaining stock screened throughout the week. The Credit Libanais Aggregate Stock Index (“CLASI”) ended the week 1.84% lower at 569.38.

In the real estate sector, trades consisted of Solidere “A” and “B” shares (98.98% of weekly traded volume), with the price of Solidere “A” rising by 0.14% week-on-week to $14.23 while that of Solidere “B” dropped by 1.72% to $14.25. Consequently, the Credit Libanais Construction Sector Stock Index (“CLCI”) ended its week 0.54% lower on a weekly basis at 752.18.

In the banking sector, Bank Audi Listed Shares amassed the highest concentration of trades (0.85% of total BSE traded volume). The Credit Libanais Financial Sector Stock Index (“CLFI”) ended Friday’s session down by 3.30% compared to the closing prices on the day of the explosion in the previous week, reaching an all-time low of 439.70. This owes to the 11.64% contraction in the price of BLOM Bank Listed Shares to $2.81.

The market-cap weighted average price to book value (P/BV) multiple of listed stocks leveled higher at 0.872 based on the closing prices of Friday’s session, compared to 0.869 a week before.

بالتوازي، وصل المتوسِّط اليومي لعدد الأسهُم المتداوَلة إلى 60،101 سهم هذا الأسبوع، فيما بلغ متوسّط القيمة التداوليّة اليوميّة للأسهم 0.83 مليون د.أ.

في سياقٍ متّصل، بلغت الرسملة السوقيّة (Market Capitalization) لبورصة بيروت حوالي 6.19 مليار د.أ. بحسب أسعار إقفال نهار الجمعة، مع تراجع سعر سهمين عن إقفال الأسبوع السابق وإرتفاع سعر سهم واحد. في هذا السياق، أنهى مؤشِّر بنك الإعتماد اللبناني للبورصة (“CLASI”) أسبوعه على تراجع بنسبة 1.84% إلى 569.38.

في القطاع العقاري، إقتصرت عمليّات التداول على أسهُم سوليدير "أ" و"ب" (98.98% من مجموع عدد الأسهُم المتداوَلة)، مع إرتفاع سعر سهم سوليدير "أ" بنسبة 0.14% أسبوعيّاً إلى 14.23 د.أ. وإنكماش سعر سهم سوليدير "ب" بنسبة 1.72% إلى 14.25 د.أ. في هذا الإطار، سجّل مؤشِّر بنك الإعتماد اللبناني لأداء القطاع العقاري في البورصة (“CLCI”) إنخفاض أسبوعي بنسبة 0.54%  ليصل إلى 752.18.

أمّا في القطاع المصرفي، فقد إستحوذت الأسهم العاديّة التابعة لبنك عودة على الحصّة الأكبر (0.85%) من مجموع عدد الأسهُم المتداوَلة خلال الأسبوع. من جهته، إنخفض مؤشِّر بنك الإعتماد اللبناني لأداء القطاع المالي في البورصة (“CLFI”) بنسبة 3.30% هذا الأسبوع مقارنةً بأسعار آخر إقفال عشيّة الإنفجار في الأسبوع السابق، حيث بلغ أدنى مستوى تاريخي له عند 439.70. ويأتي هذا التراجع نتيجة إنخفاض سعر الأسهم العاديّة التابعة لبنك لبنان والمهجر بنسبة 11.64% على صعيد أسبوعي إلى 2.81 د.أ.

من جهّته، أنهى المتوسّط المثقَّل للسعر على القيمة الدفتريّة (P/BV) للأسهُم المدرَجة على بورصة بيروت أسبوعه على إرتفاع ليصل إلى 0.872 بحسب أسعار إقفال نهار الجمعة، مقارنةً بمستوى 0.869 قبل فترة أسبوع.
