Beirut Stock Exchange (BSE) activity rebounded this week, with the number of shares changing hands rising to 607,572 shares from 162,124 shares last week and value traded increasing to $10.47 million, from $3.01 million a week earlier. Trades were mainly concentrated in real estate sector stocks, which accounted for 49.19% of weekly traded volume.
The average daily traded volume rose to 121,514 shares this week, from 32,425 shares in the previous week, with the average daily traded value rising to $2.09 million, from around $0.60 million a week earlier.
Three heavy market weighted stocks and five losing stocks were screened this week, lifting the BSE’s market capitalization up by 0.05% week-on-week to around $10.77 billion. The Credit Libanais Aggregate Stock Index (“CLASI”) inched up by 0.06% week-on-week to 1,113.42.
In the real estate sector, trades solely consisted of Solidere “A” and “B” shares (49.19% of weekly traded volume), with the price of Solidere “A” dropping by 1.41% week-on-week to $32.88 and that of Solidere “B” sinking by 5.77% to $32.01. Consequently, the Credit Libanais Construction Sector Stock Index (“CLCI”) ended Friday’s session 2.90% lower on a weekly basis at 1,671.37.
In the banking sector, Byblos Bank listed shares amassed the highest concentration of trades (18.68% of total BSE traded volume) with a thin turnover ratio of 0.02%. The Credit Libanais Financial Sector Stock Index (“CLFI”) in its turn closed its week up by 4.88% to 734.17. This comes on the back of the 21.88% w-o-w rise in the price of BLOM Bank listed shares to $3.90, coupled with the 2.15% increase in the price of Byblos Bank listed shares to $0.95 and the 2.08% appreciation in the price of Bank Audi listed shares to $2.45, which altogether outweighed the 8.33% drop in the price of BEMO Bank listed shares to $1.10 and the 0.81% decline in the price of Bank Audi GDRs to $2.46.
The market-cap weighted average price to book value (P/BV) multiple of listed stocks ended its week lower at 2.009 based on the closing prices of Friday’s session compared to 2.107 in the previous week.

وقد زاد المتوسِّط اليومي لعدد الأسهُم المتداوَلة إلى 121،514 سهم هذا الأسبوع، من 32،425 سهم في الأسبوع الذي سبقه، كما وتحسّن متوسّط القيمة التداوليّة اليوميّة للأسهم إلى 2.09 مليون د.أ.، مقارنةً بحوالي 0.60 مليون د.أ. في الأسبوع الماضي.
في سياقٍ متّصل، زادت الرسملة السوقيّة (Market Capitalization) لبورصة بيروت بنسبة 0.05% أسبوعيّاً إلى حوالي 10.77 مليار د.أ.، وذلك في ظلّ إرتفاع سعر ثلاثة أسهم ذو تثقيل سوقيّ كبير وإنخفاض سعر خمسة أسهم أخرى. من جهةٍ أخرى، أنهى مؤشِّر بنك الإعتماد اللبناني للبورصة (“CLASI”) أسبوعه على إرتفاع بنسبة 0.06% عن إقفال الأسبوع السابق ليصل إلى 1،113.42.
في القطاع العقاري، إرتكزت عمليّات التداول على أسهُم سوليدير "أ" و"ب" (49.19% من مجموع عدد الأسهُم المتداوَلة هذا الأسبوع)، مع إنكماش سعر سهم سوليدير "أ" بنسبة 1.41% على أساس أسبوعي إلى 32.88 د.أ. وتدنّي سعر سهم سوليدير "ب" بنسبة 5.77% إلى 32.01 د.أ. في هذا الإطار، سجّل مؤشِّر بنك الإعتماد اللبناني لأداء القطاع العقاري في البورصة (“CLCI”) إنخفاض أسبوعي بنسبة 2.90% ليصل إلى 1،671.37.
أمّا في القطاع المصرفي، فقد إستحوذت الأسهم العاديّة التابعة لبنك بيبلوس على الحصّة الأكبر (18.68%) من مجموع عدد الأسهُم المتداوَلة خلال الأسبوع. من جهته، تحسّن مؤشِّر بنك الإعتماد اللبناني لأداء القطاع المالي في البورصة (“CLFI”) بنسبة 4.88% هذا الأسبوع إلى 734.17. أتى هذا الإرتفاع في ظلّ زيادة سعر الأسهم العاديّة التابعة لبنك لبنان والمهجر بنسبة 21.88% إلى 3.90 د.أ. ترافقاً مع زيادة سعر الأسهم العاديّة لبنك بيبلوس بنسبة 2.15% إلى 0.95 د.أ. وإرتفاع سعر الأسهم العاديّة التابعة لبنك عودة بنسبة 2.08% إلى 2.45 د.أ.، ما طغى على تراجع سعر الأسهم العاديّة التابعة لبنك بيمو بنسبة 8.33% إلى 1.10 د.أ. وإنخفاض سعر شهادات الإيداع التابعة لبنك عودة بنسبة 0.81% إلى 2.46 د.أ.
من جهّته، أنهى المتوسّط المثقَّل للسعر على القيمة الدفتريّة (P/BV) للأسهُم المدرَجة على بورصة بيروت أسبوعه على تراجع ليصل إلى 2.009 بحسب أسعار إقفال نهار الجمعة.
