Cement deliveries, the coincident indicator of construction activity, plunged by 18.04% during the month of May to 140,335 tons, down from 171,228 tons a month earlier. On an annual basis, cement deliveries fell by 7.32% to 515,077 tons in the first 5 months of 2021 in comparison with 555,732 tons during the same period last year.
Cement deliveries registered a negative compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) of 19.05% over the May 2014 – May 2021 period, mirroring the lackluster activity of Lebanon’s construction sector amidst the pale economic situation.
سَجَّلَت تسليمات الإسمنت، والتي تشكِّل مؤشِّراً رئيسيّاً للنشاط العقاري، تراجعاً بنسبة 18.04% خلال الشهر الخامس من العام 2021 إلى 140،335 طن، مقابِل 171،228 طن في الشهر الذي سبقه. كذلك على صعيدٍ سنويٍّ، فقد تراجعت تسليمات الإسمنت بنسبة 7.32% إلى 515،077 طن خلال الأشهر الخمسة الأولى من العام 2021 مقارنةً ب555،732 طن في الفترة ذاتها من العام 2020.
