According to statistics published by the Association of Banks in Lebanon (ABL), gross public debt widened by 0.68% ($0.67 billion) during the month of February 2022 to LBP 150,714 billion ($99.98 billion), up from 149,699 billion ($99.30 billion) a month earlier. The share of Lebanese banks of LBP-denominated debt fell to around 20.7% in February (down from 21.0% in January), while the share of the non-banking sector increased to around 15.5% (up from 15.2% in January) and that of Banque Du Liban remained flat at 63.8%. As far as foreign currency-denominated debt is concerned, sovereign debt in the form of Republic of Lebanon Eurobonds constituted 94.5% of total foreign currency debt, followed by lines of credit obtained through multilateral agreements (4.1%) and bilateral facilities (1.3%).
The average maturity of debt denominated in domestic currency narrowed to 4.16 years in February 2022 down from 4.19 years in January, with the weighted average annual interest rate on local currency debt concurrently dropping to 6.55%. As far as the weighted average annual interest rate and weighted maturity of foreign currency debt are concerned, the ABL no longer publishes these statistics as a result of the government’s decision to suspend the payment of Eurobonds in March 2020.
تُبيِّن إحصاءات جمعيّة المصارف في لبنان إرتفاعاً في الدين العامّ اللبناني بنسبة 0.68% (0.67 مليار د.أ.) خلال الشهر الثاني من العام 2022 إلى 150،714 مليار ل.ل. (99.98 مليار د.أ.)، من 149،699 مليار ل.ل. (99.30 مليار د.أ.) في الشهر الذي سبقه. وقد إنخفضت حصّة القطاع المصرفي اللبناني من إجمالي الدين المعنوَن بالليرة اللبنانيّة إلى حوالي 20.7% في شهر شباط 2022 (مقارنةً ب21.0% في شهر كانون الثاني)، في حين زادت حصّة القطاع غير المصرفي إلى حوالي 15.5% (مقارنةً ب15.2% في شهر كانون الثاني) وبقيت حصّة مصرف لبنان ثابتة عند 63.8%. أمّا لجهة توزيع الدين العامّ المعنون بالعملات الأجنبيّة، فقد تمركزت الغالبيّة الساحقة منه في خانة سندات خزينة الحكومة اللبنانيّة بالعملات الأجنبيّة (يوروبوند) (94.5%)، تلتها الإتّفاقيّات المتعدّدة الأطراف (4.1%) والتسهيلات الممنوحة بواسطة الإتّفاقيّات الثنائيّة (1.3%).
في سياقٍ متّصل، إنخفض متوسِّط إستحقاق سندات دين الحكومة اللبنانيّة المعنوَنة بالليرة اللبنانيّة إلى 4.16 سنة في شهر شباط 2022 من 4.19 سنة في شهر كانون الثاني كما وتراجع المعدَّل الوسطي للفائدة السنويّة على الديون بالعملة الوطنيّة إلى 6.55%. أمّا فيما يتعلّق بمتوسِّط إستحقاق سندات دين الحكومة اللبنانيّة المعنوَنة بالعملة الأجنبيّة وتاريخ الإستحقاق فإنّ هذه الإحصاءات لم تعد تنشر من قبل جمعيّة المصارف منذ إعلان الدولة في شهر آذار 2020 عن توقّفها عن سداد إستحقاقات اليوروبوندز.
