The Lebanese financial sector’s net foreign assets narrowed by $207.7 million in July of the current year in comparison with contractions of $474.1 million in June, $402.3 million in May and $229.4 million in April. July’s figure can be attributed to a $220.7 million drop in the net foreign assets of the Central Bank, which outweighed the $13.0 million rise in the net foreign assets of banks & financial institutions. On a cumulative basis, the financial sector’s net foreign assets plunged by $2,787.0 million during the first seven month of the year 2022 in comparison with some $1,773.4 million drop in the same period in 2021. This cumulative drop owes to a $3,013.9 million contraction in the net foreign assets of the Central Bank, totally eroding the $227.0 million increase in the net foreign assets of banks & financial institutions.
تراجع صافي الموجودات الخارجيّة لدى القطاع المالي اللبناني بمبلغ قدره 207.7 مليون د.أ. خلال الشهر السابع من العام 2022 مقابل إنخفاض بلغ 474.1 مليون د.أ. في شهر حزيران وتراجع بلغ 402.3 مليون د.أ. في شهر أيّار وإنخفاض بقيمة 229.4 مليون د.أ. في شهر نيسان. تأتي أرقام شهر تمّوز نتيجة إنخفاض صافي الموجودات الخارجيّة لدى مصرف لبنان بقيمة 220.7 مليون د.أ.، ما طغى على إرتفاع صافي الموجودات الخارجيّة لدى المصارف والمؤسَّسات الماليّة بمبلغٍ قدره 13.0 مليون د.أ. كذلك على صعيدٍ تراكميٍّ، فقد تقلّص صافي الموجودات الخارجيّة لدى القطاع المالي اللبناني بحوالي 2،786.9 مليون د.أ. خلال الأشهر السبعة الأولى من العام 2022 مقارنةً بتراجع بلغ 1،773.4 مليون د.أ. في الفترة ذاتها من العام 2021. يعزى الإنخفاض المذكور إلى تراجُع صافي الموجودات الخارجيّة لدى مصرف لبنان بمبلغٍ قدره 3،013.9 مليون د.أ. ما أطاح بالزيادة في صافي الموجودات الخارجيّة لدى المصارف والمؤسَّسات الماليّة بمبلغ قدره 227.0 مليون د.أ.
