The Ministry of Economy and Trade, and in line with the digitalization process it launched in April of this year, has recently announced that importers and exporters can now complete their tasks (managing the customs manifest, inspecting containers and sending samples for analysis) online, rather than going to the Ministry’s offices or to the port. The Ministry of Economy commented that the digitization process serves to speed up commercial transactions, reduce associated costs on individuals & companies, and combat corruption.
