The Lebanese Central Bank issued on September 25, 2024 basic decisions 13668 and 13669 under intermediate circulars 709 and 710 which amend basic decisions 13335 and 13611 under basic circulars 158 and 166. In details, and given the exceptional circumstances Lebanon is going through, the intermediate circulars permitted eligible depositors benefitting from the provisions of basic circulars 158 and 166 to withdraw two additional monthly payments in addition to the allowed monthly payment during the month of October 2024 with the annual withdrawal ceilings adjusted accordingly. Finally, the liquidity needed for banks to cover the two extra payments for depositors benefitting from the provisions of basic circular 158 will be provided by reserve requirements in foreign currency placed by banks at the Central Bank.
أصدر مصرف لبنان بتاريخ 25 أيلول 2024 القرارين الأساسيّين رقم 13668 و13669 تحت التعميمين الوسيطين رقم 709 و710 والتي تعدّل أحكام القرارين الأساسيّين رقم 13335 و13611 تحت التعميمين الأساسيّين رقم 158 و166. بالتفاصيل، ونظراً للظروف الإستثنائيّة التي يمرّ بها لبنان في الوقت الحالي، فقد سمح التعميمين الوسيطين في بندٍ جديد للمودعين المستفيدين من التعميمين الأساسيّين رقم 158 و166 بسحب دفعتين إضافيّتين إضافةً إلى الدفعة الشهريّة التي يستفيدون منها وذلك عن شهر تشرين الأوّل 2024 مع العلم بأنّه سوف يتمّ تعديل سقف السحوبات السنويّة وفقاً للتغييرات المذكورة. أخيراً، سوف يتمّ تأمين السيولة لتسديد الدفعتين الإضافيّتين المتعلّقة بالتعميم الأساسي رقم 158 من التوظيفات الإلزاميّة بالعملات الأجنبيّة العائدة للمصارف لدى مصرف لبنان.
