Customs Receipts fell by 12.78% during the month of June 2024 to LBP 4.87 trillion, down from LBP 5.59 trillion a month earlier. On an annual basis, however, customs receipts reached LBP 24.44 trillion in the first half of 2024 in comparison with LBP 13.23 trillion a year earlier. The sharp increase observed owes to the multiple adjustments of the LBP/USD exchange rate used for customs calculation. More specifically, the customs applicable exchange rate was first raised in December 2022 from LBP 1,507.5 per USD to LBP 15,000 per USD before increasing it to LBP 45,000 per USD in March 2023 and to LBP 60,000 per USD in April. The exchange rate was later benchmarked to the Sayrafa rate starting May 2023 which stood back then at LBP 86,300 per USD before gradually coinciding with the new official exchange rate of LBP 89,500 per USD starting February 2024.
سَجَّلَت الإيرادات الجمركيّة إنخفاضاً بنسبة 12.78% خلال شهر حزيران من العام 2024 إلى 4.87 ترليون ل.ل.، مقابِل 5.59 ترليون ل.ل. في الشهر الذي سبقه. أمّا على صعيدٍ تراكمي، فقد بلغت الإيرادات الجمركيّة 24.44 ترليون ل.ل. خلال النصف الأوّل من العام 2024 مقارنةً ب13.23 ترليون ل.ل. في الفترة نفسها من العام 2023. يمكن تعليل الإرتفاع بتعديل سعر الدولار الجمركي على عدّة مراحل بحيث تمّ رفعه في مرحلة أولى من 1،507.5 ل.ل. مقابل الدولار الأميركي الواحد إلى 15،000 ل.ل. للدولار في شهر كانون الأوّل 2022، ليعود ويصبح 45،000 ل.ل. للدولار في شهر آذار 2023 ومن ثمّ رفعه إلى 60،000 ل.ل. للدولار في شهر نيسان. وقد تمّ ربط سعر الدولار الجمركي بسعر منصّة صيرفة في مرحلة لاحقة حيث أصبح في شهر أيّار 2023 86،300 ل.ل. للدولار الأميركي الواحد قبل أن يتمّ توحيده بسعر الصرف الرسمي الجديد والبالغ 89،500 ل.ل. للدولار بدءاً من شهر شباط 2024.
