The number of passengers via the Beirut International Airport stood at 560,099 in May 2025, down by 5.84% month-on-month while increasing by 5.18% y-o-y by the end of the first five months of 2025 to 2,409,618 passengers. More specifically, the number of arriving travelers increased by 5.89% m-o-m and by 10.73% on an annual basis YTD May to 1,260,997, while the number of departing travelers ebbed by 16.49% m-o-m and remained almost flat annually at 1,148,334 up until May 2025. Furthermore, the number of transit travelers remained unchanged m-o-m yet dropping by 81.47% over the same period in 2024 to 287 YTD May 2025. Concurrently, the number of flights saw a monthly increase of 1.50% and an annual improvement of 1.27% during the first five months of 2025 to 19,552. It is worth highlighting in this context that the share of Middle East Airlines (MEA) rose from 39.07% of the total number of flights YTD May 2024 to 50.11% in the same period in 2025. إنخفض عدد المسافرين عبر مطار بيروت الدولي بنسبة 5.84% في شهر أيّار 2025 إلى 560،099 في حين إرتفع بنسبة سنويّة بلغت 5.18% خلال فترة الأشهر الخمسة الأولى من العام الحالي إلى 2،409،618 مسافر. في التفاصيل، إرتفع عدد الوافدين إلى لبنان بنسبة 5.89% على أساس شهريّ و10.73% على أساسٍ سنويٍّ إلى 1،260،997 مسافر حتّى شهر أيّار الحالي. بالإضافة إلى ذلك، إنخفض عدد المغادرين بنسبة 16.49% على صعيد شهريّ فيما بقي شبه مستقر سنويّاً عند 1،148،334 مسافر في نهاية الأشهر الخمسة الأولى من العام 2025. من جهةٍ أخرى، لم يتغيّر عدد العابرين عبر مطار بيروت (ترانزيت) على صعيد شهريّ فيما تراجع هذا العدد بنسبة 81.47% على أساس سنويّ إلى 287 مسافر حتّى شهر أيّار 2025. وقد سجّل عدد الرحلات الجويّة تحسّن شهريّ بلغت نسبته 1.50% في آيّار وزيادة سنويّة بلغت نسبتها 1.27% في الأشهر الخمسة الأولى من العام 2025 إلى 19،552. يجدر الذكر أنّ حصّة طيران الشرق الأوسط من إجمالي عدد الرحلات قد زادت من 39.07% في الأشهر الخمسة الأولى من العام 2024 إلى 50.11% في الفترة نفسها من العام 2025 كما هو مبيّن أدناه:
