The Lebanese Council of Ministers decided during its session held on Friday June 27 to increase the minimum monthly wage for private sector employees to LBP 28 million (~$312) up from LBP 18 million (~$201) effective beginning of July amid the high inflationary pressure that followed the depreciation of the Lebanese pound against the U.S. dollar since the onset of the financial crisis in late 2019.
