Total Energies has recently announced that it, along with its partners Eni and QatarEnergy, has inked an agreement with the Lebanese government to start exploration in Block 8. It is worth noting that the aforementioned 3 companies are part of a consortium whereby each of Total Energies and Eni holds a 35% stake and QatarEnergy commanding a 30% stake. The consortium’s work program will start by acquiring a 3D seismic survey of an area of 1,200 square kilometers in order to further evaluate the area’s exploration potential.
أعلنت شركة توتال إنيرجيز (Total Energies) مؤخّراً، بالتعاون مع شركائها إيني (Eni) وقطر إنرجي (QatarEnergy)، عن توقيع إتّفاقيّة مع الحكومة اللبنانيّة لبدء الإستكشاف في البلوك رقم 8. وتجدر الإشارة إلى أن الشركات الثلاث المذكورة تشكّل كونسورتيوم تمتلك فيها كل من توتال إنيرجيز وإيني حصّة 35% في حين تبلغ حصّة قطر إنرجي 30%. وسيستهل الكونسورتيوم عمله بالحصول على مسح زلزالي ثلاثي الأبعاد لمنطقة تبلغ مساحتها 1200 كيلومتر مربع، وذلك لتقييم إمكانات التنقيب في هذا البلوك.
