Freight activity via the Port of Tripoli slowed during the month of February 2026 with the total weight of shipped goods dropping to 120 thousand tons compared to 145 thousand tons in January (17.24% decrease). Imported freight accounted for 78.33% (94 thousand tons) of total freight in the second month of the current year, while export activity constituted 21.67% (26 thousand tons). On a cumulative basis, Tripoli Port freight activity came in 26.80% lower y-o-y during to the first two months of 2026 to 265 thousand tons of total weight of shipped goods, compared to 362 thousand tons in the same period in 2025. Similarly, the number of vessels decreased by 25.98% on a yearly basis to 94, with the number of imported cars decreasing by 58.86% (319 cars) to 223 cars. In this context, port-related revenues dropped by 32.54% y-o-y to $2.54 million up to the month of February 2026, compared to $3.76 million in the first two months of 2025.
