On the current account side of the balance of payments, Lebanon’s balance of trade deficit widened by $824.95 million (8.83%) y-o-y in the first seven months of 2026 to just above $10.16 billion up from around $9.34 billion in the same period in 2025, according to statistics published by the Lebanese Customs Administration. Said rise in the deficit was buoyed by some $349.33 million annual decrease (16.52%) in exports to $1,765 million (in part attributed to the recent war) coupled with a $475.63 million (4.15%) increase in the imports bill to around $11.93 billion.
Switzerland led the list of countries importing from Lebanon, with its imports’ invoice aggregating to $280 million (15.86% of Lebanon’s exports). China, on the other hand, topped the list of countries exporting to Lebanon, with its exports bill reaching $1,522 million (12.76% of Lebanon’s imports). This is further elaborated in the tables below:
Exports of “pearls, precious stones and metals” accounted alone for 26.57% ($469 million) of total Lebanese exports YTD July 2026, followed by “base metals and their products” ($304 million <17.25%>), “prepared foodstuffs, beverages & tobacco” ($256 million <14.51%>), and “machinery and electrical instruments” ($208 million <11.79%>). On the other hand, “mineral products” constituted the lion’s share of imported goods ($3,027 million <25.37%>), trailed by “pearls, precious stones and metals” ($1,445 million <12.11%>), “products of the chemical industry” ($1,183 million <9.92%>), and “machinery and electrical instruments” ($1,079 million <9.05%>).
ارتفع العجز في الميزان التجاري في لبنان ب824.95 مليون د.أ. (8.83%) على صعيد سنويّ إلى حوالي 10.17 مليار د.أ. خلال الأشهر السبعة الأولى من العام 2026 مقارنةً بعجز بلغ 9.34 مليار د.أ. في الفترة نفسها من العام 2025، وذلك بحسب إحصاءات إدارة الجمارك اللبنانيّة. يعود هذا الارتفاع في العجز إلى انخفاض الصادرات ب349.33 مليون د.أ. (16.52%) إلى 1،765 مليون د.أ. ما يمكن عزوه إلى العدوان الذي طال لبنان في النصف الأوّل من العام ترافقاً مع ارتفاع فاتورة الاستيراد بنحو 475.63 مليون د.أ. (4.15%) إلى حوالي 11.93 مليار د.أ.
وقد تصدَّرَت سويسرا لائحة الدول المستورِدة من لبنان إذ وصلت فاتورة استيرادٍها إلى 280 مليون د.أ. (أي 15.86% من مجموع الصادرات اللبنانيّة)، في حين حَلَّت الصين في المرتبة الأولى على لائحة الدول المصدِّرة إلى لبنان حيث وَصَلَت فاتورة صادراتها إلى 1،522 مليون د.أ. (أي 12.76% من مجموع الواردات).
وقد احتَلَّت صادرات "اللؤلؤ والأحجار الكريمة والمعادن الثمينة والمصوغات" المرتبة الأولى على لائحة السلع المصدَّرة من لبنان، مشكِّلةً حصّة 26.57% (469 مليون د.أ.) من مجموع الصادرات اللبنانيّة لغاية شهر تمّوز 2026، تلتها صادرات "المعادن العاديّة ومصنوعاتها" (304 مليون د.أ. <17.25%>)، و"منتجات صناعة الأغذية والمشروبات والتبغ" (256 مليون د.أ. <14.51%>) ومن ثمّ "الآلات والأجهزة الكهربائيّة" (208 مليون د.أ. <11.79%>). في المقابِل، أتت مستوردات "المنتجات المعدنيّة" في المرتبة الأولى (3،027 مليون د.أ. <25.37%>) على لائحة السلع التي استوردها لبنان، تبعتها مستوردات "اللؤلؤ والأحجار الكريمة والمعادن الثمينة والمصوغات" (1،445 مليون د.أ. <12.11%>)، و"منتجات الصناعات الكيماويّة" (1،183 مليون د.أ. <9.92%>) و"الآلات والأجهزة الكهربائيّة" (1،079 مليون د.أ. <9.05%>).
