On Sunday February 14, 2021, Lebanon began administering the COVID-19 vaccine to individuals as part of the Ministry of Public Health’s national plan to vaccinate 70% of the society against the virus. In details, the first batch that arrived to Lebanon included 28,500 doses of the Pfizer vaccine and will be administered to individuals operating in the health sector and to the elderly people above the age of 75 as part of the first stage of the Ministry’s plan (stage 1-a). It is worth noting that the Ministry of Public Health has ordered around 2.1 million Pfizer vaccines that will be distributed throughout the current year, some 2.7 million doses on the global COVAX scheme and around 1.5 million doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine. To date, more than 500,000 individuals have registered on the Ministry’s online platform.
بدأ لبنان بتاريخ 14 شباط 2021 عمليّة التلقيح ضدّ فيروس الكورونا وفقاً لخطّة وزارة الصحّة العامّة التي تهدف إلى تلقيح 70% من المجتمع ضدّ وباء الكورونا. بالتفاصيل، تحتوي الدفعة الأولى التي وصلت إلى لبنان على 28،500 جرعة من لقاح فايزر وهي مخصّصة للأشخاص العاملين في القطاع الصحّي وللمسنّين الذين تتخطّى أعمارهم ال75 عاماً وذلك وفقاً للمرحلة الأولى من خطّة الوزارة (المرحلة الأولى – أ). يجدر الذكر أنّ وزارة الصحّة العامّة قد طلبت حوالي 2.1 مليون لقاح من فايزر الذي سيوزّع خلال العام الحالي، وحوالي 2.7 مليون جرعات عبر منصّة كوفاكس (COVAX) و1.5 مليون جرعة من لقاح أسترازنيكا (Astrazeneca). وبحسب إحصاءات وزارة الصحّة، تسجّل حوالي ال500،000 شخصاً لغاية تاريخه على المنصّة الإلكترونيّة التابعة للوزارة لتلقّي الجرعة الأولى من لقاح فايزر.
