The Lebanese Central Bank issued on October 7, 2022 intermediate circular no. 645 to banks and financial institutions which amends basic decision no. 13262 which targeted the reactivation banking operations in Lebanon. In details, the circular requires banks to constitute an external account (net of any liabilities) at their correspondent banks equivalent to at least 3% of the size of foreign currency customer deposits as at September 30, 2022 instead of July 31, 2020.
أصدر مصرف لبنان في 7 تشرين الأول 2022 التعميم الوسيط رقم 645 للمصارف والمؤسّسات الماليّة، والذي يعدّل القرار الأساسي رقم 13262 الذي يتضمّن إجراءات إستثنائيّة لإعادة تفعيل عمل المصارف في لبنان. بالتفاصيل، يفرض التعميم على المصارف تكوين حساب خارجي حر من أي إلتزامات لدى المصارف المراسلة لا يقلّ عن 3% من حجم ودائع الزبائن بالعملة الأجنبيّة كما في 30 أيلول 2022 بدلاً من 31 تمّوز 2020.
