The Lebanese Minister of State for Technology Affairs and Artificial Intelligence Dr. Kamal Shehadeh & the Minister of Tourism Mrs. Laura Lahoud recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the aim of integrating artificial intelligence (AI) solutions into the tourism sector. Dr. Shehadeh commented that the partnership aims at catering advanced digital services to tourists that will ultimately enhance their experience, in addition to improving Lebanon’s image. From her end, Mrs. Lahoud stated that this collaboration represents a major step for the future of the sector, while adding that technology is a cornerstone for the modernization of the sector, ultimately leading to additional investments.
وقّع وزير الدولة لشؤون التكنولوجيا والذكاء الإصطناعي الدكتور كمال شحادة، ووزيرة السياحة السيّدة لورا لحّود مؤخّراً مذكّرة تفاهم بهدف دمج حلول الذكاء الإصطناعي في قطاع السياحة. وصرّح الدكتور شحادة بأن الشراكة تهدف إلى تقديم خدمات رقميّة متطورة إلى السيّاح في سبيل تحسين تجربتهم وإعطاء صورة أفضل عن لبنان. من جانبها، علّقت السيدة لحود بأن هذا التعاون يُمثّل خطوةً هامةً لمستقبل القطاع، مُضيفةً بأنّ التكنولوجيا تُعدّ حجر الأساس لتحديث القطاع، مما يُؤدي في نهاية المطاف إلى جذب استثمارات إضافيّة.
