The Lebanese Council of Ministers decided during its session held on Friday July 11 to reinstate Dr. Wassim Mansouri as First Vice Governor of BDL and Dr. Salim Chahine as Third Vice Governor, and to appoint Dr. Makram Bou Nassar (replacing Mr. Bachir Yaqzan) and Mr. Gaby Chinozian (replacing Mr. Alexander Mouradian) as Second and Fourth Vice Governors. It is worth noting that the term of the four previous Vice Governors expired on June 9 and that the new four Vice Governors will serve a term of five years as per Article 18 of the Code of Money and Credit, with their mandate expiring in Mid-2030. In addition, the government appointed Dr. Mazen Soueid (previous CEO and General Manager of the Investment Development Authority of Lebanon) as President of the Banking Control Commission (BCC), alongside Mr. Nader Haddad, Mrs. Tania Kallab, Mrs. Aline Spiro and Mr. Rabih Nehme as members.
